Iglesia Pentecostés Juan 14:6

pureza-Cristo

Text: “As for the former way of life, put off the old man, who is vitiated according to deceitful desires, and renew in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, created according to God in righteousness and holiness of truth . “Ephesians 4: 22 – 24.

Purpose: To understand and understand that it is only through a true commitment of purity can we be in the presence of God.

Introduction: PURIFICATION, PURIFYING, PURE According to the law of Moses, purification was a ceremony required to cleanse or free from ritual impurity an object, a place or a person. This was obtained by washings, or sprays accompanied by religious ceremonies prescribed by the Mosaic law. . The laws of purity are given above all in Lev 11 – 16. These form the third section of the book, dedicated to defining the terms of purity and ritual impurity. It also sets the standards to which, in order to regain legal purity, all that-or all-that would have incurred some kind of impurity. This section closes with the description of the rites proper to the great day of atonement (Hebrew), which all the people should celebrate on the 10 day of the seventh month of each year.

Ritual impurity was acquired by eating forbidden foods, suffering from certain skin diseases, touching a corpse or grave, getting in contact with blood, and for other reasons. Such impurity incapacitated the person to take part in the worship and, therefore, to enter into communion with God. The concept of purity in the Old Testament generally has a figurative meaning and applies to sin filth, idolatry, etc.

“To cleanse the idolatry of Judah (2 Chronicles 34: 3, 8.) Offering for sin (Psalms 51: 7, 12),” cover, (Isaiah 1: 25), “to make atonement” (Psalms 65: 3; 79: 9; Ezekiel { Wash “or” rinse “(Isaiah 4: 4)

It was not just moral impurity. The prophets denounced the latter with all energy, and warned the people that ritual purity and external purity has no value before God when it is not accompanied by moral purity, which consists in obeying the divine precepts that demand a clean life governed by Mercy, justice, love of God and neighbor, and fidelity. Jesus, who essentially respected the precepts concerning ritual purity, preached the absolute supremacy of moral purity, the “clean heart,” which is the only thing that allows him to “see” God and to enter into communion with him. According to the NT, true purification, which is the work of the Holy Spirit, is attained when the person turns to God through faith in Christ.

And it is in this way that we must make our greatest effort to maintain purity in aspects of our life such as:

I.- THE PURITY OF MY MOUTH. Proverbs 4: 24

The Lord tells us: “Turn away from you the perverseness of the mouth, and turn away from you the iniquity of the lips.”

It is very clear that our Father is interested that our way of speaking be transformed. Proverbs 10: 11 teaches that: “The mouth of the righteous is the well of life; But violence shall cover the mouth of the wicked. “

God makes a difference between the way one speaks of one’s children (just) and the way one speaks of one who is not his son (ungodly):

“The lips of the righteous know how to speak; But the mouth of the wicked speaks perversities. “Proverbs 10: 32.

“He that keepeth his mouth and his tongue, his soul keepeth troubles.” Proverbs 21: 23.

This is one of the truths, concerning the word of our mouth, which we should never belittle. To be clean in our word is pleasing to our Father: Proverbs 18: 4 says: “Deep waters are the words of man’s mouth; And a brook that overfloweth, the wellspring of wisdom. “

We have to take care as we speak:

Do not praise yourself. Proverbs 27: 2.

Do not rush. Ecclesiastes 5: 2.

Do not let your mouth make you sin. Ecclesiastes 5: 6

Our Savior Jesus Christ taught that the words of our mouth can defile and do more harm than any food we eat. Mateo 15: 11 – 19.

The instructions for the children of God in Ephesians 5: 3 – 8 and in Colossians 3: 4 – 10 are quite clear in the sense that our speech must be totally modified , Because of the presence of Christ in our heart.

Read these passages and carefully analyze their reference to the use of our mouth and the words we say with it.

Ephesians 5: 4 teaches us that we must be very careful with the expressions of our mouths: “Neither dishonest words, nor foolish things, nor truhaneries that do not agree, but rather thanksgiving.” This means that we should not say:

***THE WRATH

***THE ANGER

BLASPHEMY

DISHONEST WORDS

***THE LIE.

In our day the language has degenerated to such a degree that even we who are children of God we are involved in the forms of speech that the world manages.

But remember that this is not God’s will for our lives, He wants His children to talk in such a way that our way of speaking identifies us as His children.

II.- THE CLEANING OF OUR MIND. Ephesians 4: 22 – 24.

The Word says that: “As for our past way of life we must WAKE away the old man who is ADDICTED According to the deceitful desires, and that we RENEW In the SPIRIT OF OUR MIND “

The word DISPOSAL Indicates a personal and voluntary action in which we remove a garment to put another. This word is used so that we understand that it is not God in person who will come to erase with his hand the negative thoughts of our mind. This word reveals the personal decision to take control of our thoughts and take the initiative to take away the thoughts that do not suit us or that are dirty and that do not glorify our God.

Another important word of this passage is: RENEW Which means simply to do something again or something. And the most important thing is that the RENOVAR reference (Doing something new) speaks directly from our mind, GOD WANTS TO RENEW OUR LIFE BUT ALSO WANTS TO RENEW OUR MIND.

The mind is our thinking capacity. The Bible says that according to what our thoughts are, so is our heart. Proverbs 23: 7

God our Father is not only interested in our spirit and our body and soul, it is also of interest to reign in our mind. Jeremiah 31: 33; Hebrews 8: 10; Mateo 22: 37 Frames 12: 30; Lucas 10: 27.

After reading these passages that emphasize God’s desire to govern our minds and our thoughts, the most natural thing is for us to ask ourselves: Why? Or even more: Why does my heavenly Father want to govern my mind? In seeking the answer in the Word we will understand that it is in order that our heart be controlled, since from it proceed all the positive or negative things of our life. “For out of the heart go out evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false testimonies, blasphemies” Matthew 15: 19.

If the Lord can or rather we let him rule our mind, our whole life will be radically transformed, for our own benefit.

The Lord is interested in taking control of our thoughts because there is a close relationship between what our heart has and what is in our thinking.

Let’s review some passages: Job 17: 11, psalms 26: 2; {Four. Five}; Proverbs 6: 6 – 19; 9: (10); Jeremiah 4: 14; 20: 12; 23: 20; Daniel 2: 30; Mateo 9: 4; 21: 22; Frames 7:21; Lucas 5: 22; 26: 27; 24: 38. In all these passages we see that: OUR THOUGHTS COME FROM THE HEART AND THAT OUR HEART PRODUCES THOUGHTS .

Everything negative or bad that we come to think or put into practice in our daily life has its origin in our heart, in our mind. For this reason someone has commented that the area of work preferred by the devil is our mind.

IF IT CAN PENETRATE OUR MIND THEN IT HAS REACHED OUR HEART, AND IF IT REACHES OUR HEART THEN IT CONTROLS OUR MIND.

Our minds and thoughts are very important to God our Father. He does not want us to think badly, He wants us to think well. Proverbs 15: 26; 2: 3.

Philippians 4: 8 clearly reveals God’s desire for us: “Brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are Of good name; If there is any virtue, if anything worthy of praise, IN THIS THOUGHT “

Each of us is trained to know when a thought is bad or good, to give glory to God or to give glory to the devil. Each of us within can distinguish when a thought is MINE or the devil. We all have the ability to THINK about what we want to think about and for this reason Philippians 4: 8 tells us: “If they can,” rather use an imperative, a command that can be fulfilled at will: IN THIS PENSAD.

Renewing our life by renewing our mind is not something out of reality. Renewing our mind is our Father’s desire. Romans 12: 2 says: “Do not be conformed to this century, but TRANSFORM By means of the RENOVATION Of our UNDERSTANDING , So that you prove what the GOOD WILL OF GOD, Nice and perfect “. Understanding means “to understand in or with our mind, to accept it and apply it to our daily life” Santiago 1: 22

THE MORE WE SUBMIT TO THE LORD OUR MIND, THE MORE WE WILL BE RENEWED, AND THE MORE WE ARE RENEWED FROM OUR MINDS, THE MORE WE WILL UNDERSTAND THAT THE WILL OF OUR FATHER IS PLEASING AND PERFECT.

It is in the process of the renewing of our mind that God wants to give us his peace and reach the point where our mind is the mind of Christ: Philippians 4: 7 “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, Will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus “

1 Corinthians 2: 16 “For who hath known the mind of the Lord? Who will instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ “

When our minds think like Christ and are governed by the peace of God, we enter a precious dimension of victorious lives. Take the determination of DISPOSAL Voluntarily from our past life and RENEW OUR MIND According to the will of OUR FATHER .

III .- THE CLEANING OF OUR SPIRIT. 1 Corinthians 6: 20

“For ye are bought with a price; Glorify God in your body and in your spirit, who are of God “

In the text read before the apostle Paul challenges us to glorify God not only with the body but also with our spirit.

One important thing to learn is that humans are, according to Scripture, three entities merged into one (Trichomeoma). These entities are: Spirit, soul and body. 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Genesis 2: 7; Job 33: 4.

The Spirit is the most intimate part of our being, and it is in that place where we receive salvation. Job 32: 8; John 3. 5.

The soul is the thinking and emotional part of our being, it is here where we have our mind, our will and emotions.

Our body is the physical envelope of our spirit and our soul, it is here that we have the five senses that are channels through which information enters the soul and the spirit.

The work of the enemy (satan) is to keep us in filth by sin and disobedience in our spirit, soul and body, to avoid our relationship with God our Father and to achieve that we die with eternal damnation, with him.

During the years that we lived without Christ we have received a huge amount of negative information regarding God our Father and his son Jesus Christ. This is the main reason why our faith has been channeled into believing in many things that our Father abhors.

By believing in the things that our Father abhors our spirit has become so polluted that our soul, thought, will and emotions have also been contaminated, resulting in total uncontrol of our life.

Now that we are in Christ things are different and our whole being has been transformed. The Bible says that it has made us reborn to a living hope. 2 Corinthians 5: 17; 1 Peter 1: 3. For this reason it is very important to take into account our spiritual cleansing.

This cleansing of our spirit is very important in the eyes of God and to achieve it is that he has left us instructions in his word. The first of all is to take care that in the midst of the afflictions proper to life our spirit does not turn against God our Father blaming him for what happens to us. Job 15: 11 – 13; Psalms 106: 32 – 33.

Take care of keeping us without deceit in our spirit, to reach full happiness. Psalms 32: 2. The best way to do this is to continually ask for our spirit to be renewed. Psalm 51: 10. And within that renewal have the ability to maintain loyalty to people even knowing the negative aspects of them. Proverbs 11: 12 13.

Another way to maintain the cleansing of our spirit is to be precisely of humble spirit and to discard the haughtiness of our life. Proverbs 16: 18 – 19; Ecclesiastes 7: 8.

Patience is another form of cleansing in the spirit that manifests itself in the everyday expression of our character. Proverbs 14: 29

The cleansing of our spirit manifests itself in the control of our integral person, to such a degree God values this cleansing that important comparisons:

“It is better for him to be angry than to make him strong; And he that ruleth his spirit, let him that taketh a city. “Proverbs 16: 32

“A city that is broken down and without a wall is the man whose spirit has no reins” Proverbs 25: 28.

Some people think that the only way to keep our spirit clean is with external spiritual acts such as: praying, reading the Bible, attending meetings, singing praises, etc. All this is important but many people do all this and yet do not live in an acceptable spiritual cleansing before God.

While doing what we have just mentioned, we must be willing to make the decision to keep our spirit clean by applying the truths expressed in this study.

When things in our life become difficult do not hesitate to expose our anguish of spirit before our Father who loves us. Psalms 142: 2 – 3, 7. Every time we look for him, he will listen to us … offer our God our best offering: A broken spirit. Psalms 51. 17. And let your promise to be with us under this condition come true. Isaiah 57: 15 16.

There has to be a balance between the external (religious) and the internal (of the spirit) and each of us has to take the initiative to achieve it with the help of our Father and Lord.
